Enable alphanumeric passcodes on your iPhone!
So I came across this fun iPhone tool that is included with the iPhone SDK. It allows you to make mobile config files for iPhone settings. But this also allows you to access settings not enabled by default IE: alphanumeric passcodes on your lock screen!
I’ve created my own mobile config script that enables these alphanumeric passcodes and have relaxed all the rules set by the iPhone. You can now use just one character or just one number. Or both together, and make it as long as you’d like. It also installs a webclip to my blog on your homescreen with my face (which you can remove).
VERY EASY TO INSTALL
1. Just visit the link below on your iPhone
2. Press Install.

I can’t wait to play with this!
I’m going back to an iPhone 3GS on Friday.
It will be my gift for working all damn Black Friday.
16gb this time though. In white, of course.
FFFFFFUUUUUU!!
Oh, by the way. I sold my iPhone 3GS… I am now currently on my ORIGINAL iPhone 2G until the Nokia N900 is released.
Let’s be honest. This is the first REAL iphone killer. The feature list is impressive… BUT
- $650?!
- no MMS!?
- and there will be bugs.(brand new hardware/software)
iPhone didn’t have MMS for the first 2 and a half years. $649.00 is a great price for such a full featured phone, unlocked. And lastly, Maemo has been around for years and this phone has been in development for a long time (there are still outstanding bugs with the iPhone that are still needing fixes).
But the feature list is just amazing.
